Reviews

As a long-time fan of Fleetwood Mac, I obtained this book with great interest. I even purchased tickets to the fake Fleetwood Mac tour in 1974 (read the book for an explanation). The dialogue from Mr. Fleetwood concerning the ins and outs of how the band was formed and the personnel changes over the years was greatly appreciated. Discussions of how his style of playing -- with no musical training -- meshed so perfectly with John McVie's bass playing was truly insightful and helped me understand why they sound so great together.Incidentally, I have seen a lot of great drummers over the years. There is no one who approaches Mick Fleetwood's skills as a poly-rhythmic drummer/percussionist.The book bogs down in the milieu of Mr. Fleetwood's libido, and his various liaisons over the years. Nevertheless, I am looking forward to going to Maui and having a libation at Fleetwood's on Front Street.
